A very clever entrepreneur has listed the NES purse on eBay for the world to marvel at, and aside from the handy controller strap that appears to be attached in a rather hasty manner, the innards sport a soft, grey fabric to hold makeup, cellphones, and Mario figurines, and there's even a hidden compartment on the bottom for cash, lighters, or 1-UP mushrooms. There's no word on if hitting Up, Right, Select, Start, B will hold the subway for you as you dash towards a departing train, but you can place a bid yourself and try 'er out when it arrives. While it may not be quite on the level of some of Ben Heckendorn's own NES hacks, benheck.com forum member G-force nonetheless holds his own with his modded NES controller. Using the ever-versatile system-on-a-chip, the controller boasts 70 built-in, not-quite-legal games, and a cartridge slot on the back so you can put your well-worn collection of carts to good use. The controller also apparently manages to squeeze in a port for a second controller, or a light gun, should the Duck Hunt mood strike you. Of course, no hack would be complete without the requisite LED lights, which G-force artfully positioned inside to illuminate the Nintendo logo when the controller's in use (check it out in action after the break). Unfortunately, he hasn't provided step-by-step plans for the less-l33t among us to build our own unit, but skilled modders should be able to crib enough from the ample supple of pics to whip up their own variation."

http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/16/nes-hacked-into-an-nes-controller/

Nintendo Lightgun, Litterly!
"Thanks to Eric for sending us this cool little mod. It requires enourmous movement of your hand to use the joystick, and the A & B buttons tend to get stuck. Also you can't move freely with it, like the normal NES pad. Therefore i desided to add a port to the NES advantage pad, to allow a normal NES pad to be used, and to use the "Turbo" option, and the "player 1 or 2" option.
Yeah, I know. Some of you think it's a death sin to mod NES & hardware. And i'm pretty sure most of you are getting really tired of NES mods. But I haven't seen this mod anywhere, so bite me... :-P
I've called my creation the " NES AdPAD." :-P

http://www.instructables.com/id/EPZ3GNAXVXEQHOAFTY/

2 NES Zelda Themed Mods

Though different, two Golden NES Case mods were posted in the same time span

The modder carved the triforce into an old NES console which was painted gold along with the NES controller. However kotami, one of France's (if not one of the world's) premier console hackers has put together a spectacular NES mod.
http://www.racketboy.com/retro/2006/03/nestation-mod-upright-nes-with-ps2.html

NES Funky Flash Cart

No more blowing on the contacts to get games to work, simply build this and you can play bubble bath babes without having to pay anything, with roms that is.

http://ameba.lpt.fi/~hataarto/nes/

PowerGlove mouse

The myth and lore surrounding the Nintendo Power Glove can only be matched by its monumental failure. The most geeky NES peripheral ever was launched with an amount of hype that would make the Y2K bug jealous. However, the Powerglove was doomed from the start. It required too much overhead (with the frame you had to wrap around the screen of your tv), lacked proper functionality and had terrible game support. Within a year of its birth, most Powergloves were relegated to boxes in dissapointed childrens’ basements. What was launched in commercials with Tom Cruise look-a-likes and had cameos in the hottest movies is now spending its golden years with R.O.B. in the NES graveyard - but no more. The time has come to bring new life into our old friend and to welcome him back as a productive member of society with the ‘Powerglove Mouse’.

http://www.zerosign.net/index.php/powerglove-mouse/

NES Zapper Mouse mod
<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt;
